| Wales has three of Britain's National Parks, the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the Snowdonia National Park each with its own special features and distinctive character. Brecon and Snowdonia include majestic mountain regions whilst Pembrokeshire offers a protected coastline and wildlife islands. Snowdonia is the second largest National Park in Britain at 2,188 square kilometres, Brecon covers an area of 1,344 square kilometres whilst Pembrokeshire is the smallest National Park with 583 square kilometres consisting mainly of the coastline of the County of Pembrokeshire. |
