St. James, Manorbier, from Castlemead Hotel gardens
|
|
Castlemead is beautifully situated at the head of a small wooded valley, overlooking the sea, Norman Church and Castle. Set in half an acre of pleasant, mature grounds and lawns it offers a gloriously relaxing spot, in the heart of the village, yet only 500 yards from the sea.
A small ( we only have 8 en-suite rooms, all with beverage facilities/colour television ), comfortable, unpretentious 2 star hotel with an excellent reputation for good food, Castlemead enjoys the company of many returning guests and look forward to welcoming new ones.

The restaurant, lounge and cosy bar/sun room all enjoy glorious views, giving direct access to the garden, where weather permitting we serve light lunches and superb cream teas, or your aperitif whilst browsing the dinner menu. Three of our rooms are in the "Coach House" set 20 yards from the main building across the car park, ideal for guests who have problems with stairs, or wish to bring their dogs with them. family rooms are also available, central heating is throughout, with open fires to warm you when necessary.
Ideally situated for the Coastal Path Castlemead offers an idyllic spot for walkers, bird watchers and nature lovers, whilst within a stones throw of the pretty little beach with clean, safe bathing, fishing and surfing. If you enjoy a personal, relaxing break, away from the hustle and bustle, try this glorious little corner of West Wales and allow us the privilege of looking after you.
